If you've joined your employer's workplace pension scheme, your own and your employer's contributions are invested in the scheme's default fund. This is the fund chosen by your employer, or where a fund was not selected, the Aegon default fund.

If you want to remain in the default fund, you and your employer's future contributions will continue to be invested in that fund along with what's been paid in so far.

If you feel the default fund isn't the most appropriate fund for you, there are many other funds available for you to consider.

If you select another fund/s, future contributions received will be invested in that fund/s. You can also choose to switch your existing fund value to the new fund/s you've chosen or keep them invested in the default fund.

You can explore the full range of funds on our website. Each fund has its own specific risks and details of these can be found in the fund factsheets. It’s important you read these before making any investment decision.

For advice as to whether a fund is suitable for you, please speak to a financial adviser - there may be a charge for this.

The value of an investment can fall as well as rise and isn't guaranteed. The final value of your pension pot when you come to take benefits may be less than has been paid in.

There's lots more information on pensions and auto-enrolment available online.
