Most with-profits investments offer a minimum guaranteed return, providing you keep your policy for a specified length of time. If you switch or transfer out of with-profits, or cash in your investment before that time, you'll lose this guarantee. We don't offer a guarantee cash-in value so you could get back less than the amount you originally invested. Any guarantees are based on the ability of the issuing insurance company - in this case Scottish Equitable - to pay them. lf, for example, that company no longer existed, then the guarantees it provides would be affected.

The amount of the guarantee will depend on the with-profits fund you invested in, the type of policy, and when you invested in it. More information on each fund guarantee can be found below, but for the exact details of the guarantees on your investment please see your policy conditions.
