From 31 March 2021, we’re changing the names of some of our Aegon Merian funds listed below.
These changes will be applied across our insured pension, Aegon Retirement Choices (ARC) and Aegon One Retirement (AOR) fund ranges.
Why the names are changing
The underlying fund manager, Jupiter Asset Management Limited, acquired Merian Global Investors in 2020. They’re now undertaking a brand refresh to further integrate the two companies. The majority of Merian branded funds will undergo a name change to bring them in line with Jupiter’s range.
To ensure consistency for our customers, we’re changing our fund names to match the underlying fund names. The fund short names, which appear on plan statements, will also change to reflect this.
Please note that nothing else about the funds will change as part of this rebrand; for example the investment objectives, Aegon risk ratings and charges will remain the same. Both old and new names are shown in the tables below:

Investors will start to notice the name changes on their statements, in our literature and on our website from 31 March 2021 onwards. The changes will be implemented gradually across our material, so you may notice both the old and new names in use for a time.

What current investors need to do
