From 31 August 2022, Aegon funds previously containing ‘ASI’ will change to include ‘abrdn’ across our insured fund range. These changes will be applied across our insured Pension and Aegon Retirement Choices (ARC) fund ranges.
Nothing else about these funds will change as a result of this; the funds’ aim and objective, fund manager, charge and Aegon risk rating will remain the same.
The change in more detail
The underlying fund manager, Aberdeen Standard Fund Managers, are updating the underlying fund names to align with their new ‘abrdn’ brand.
To ensure consistency, we’re updating our version of the funds. The funds’ short name, which appear on plan statements, will also change to reflect this.
Both old and new names are shown in the tables below:

Investors will start to notice the changes on their plan statements, in our literature and on our website from 31 August 2022. The changes will be implemented gradually across our material, so they may notice both the old and new fund names in use for a time.
