From 31 March 2022, we’re updating the benchmark and fund objective for the Aegon Janus Henderson Global Equity Income (AOR) fund.

Nothing else about the fund will change because of these updates. For example, the fund manager, charges and Aegon risk ratings will all remain the same.

The changes in more detail

The underlying fund manager, Janus Henderson Investors, is updating the benchmark for the underlying fund to the MSCI All Countries World Index (ACWI) High Dividend Yield Total Return (Net) GBP Index as they believe it is more aligned with the fund’s income objective. The investment objective of the fund is also being updated.

To ensure consistency, we’re updating our version of the fund. Details can be found in the table below:

Old fund benchmark New fund benchmark
MSCI World Total Return (Net) GBP Index MSCI ACWI High Dividend Yield Total Return (Net) GBP Index
Old fund objective
The fund aims to achieve an income above that of the MSCI World Index with the potential for long-term capital growth over the long-term (5 years or more).
New fund objective
The fund aims to provide an income in excess of 80% of the income generated by the MSCI ACWI High Dividend Yield Total Return (Net) GBP Index over any 3-year period with the potential for capital growth over the long-term (5 years or more).

There’s no guarantee the fund will meet its objectives. The value of an investment can fall as well as rise and isn’t guaranteed. Investors could get back less than has been paid in.

Investors will start to notice the changes on their statements, in our literature and on our website from 31 March 2022. The changes will be implemented gradually, so investors may notice both the old and new information in use for a time.

For more information on this fund you can view the fund factsheet via the ‘Fund prices and performance' page and viewing ‘One Retirement’.
