Password criteria

To make it harder for someone to guess your password, the password you set up must meet our minimum criteria. You’ll see what the criteria is when you’re setting up or changing your password. You can strengthen your password further by adding one or more special characters.

Additionally, we’ll carry out a check to see if it’s a commonly used password – if it is, we’ll let you know and you’ll have to create a different password.

As you create your password, the indicator will increase as you add the minimum criteria. It will show full when the minimum criteria is met and doesn’t directly relate to your password being a strong password.

Changing your password

We recommend you change your password frequently to keep your account secure. To do this log in to your account and select Account at the top right. Then you should scroll to Account security and select Change password at the Your password section.

Forgotten your password

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset this by selecting Forgotten password from the Log in page.

If you think your account is locked, speak to a user in your firm with the user administration permission and ask them to unlock your account. Once they’ve done this, you’ll receive an email giving you further instructions. If you don’t have a user in your firm with the user administration permission or they aren’t available, you can contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
