Aegon UK announces highly experienced financial services professional Nick Blake will join the Aegon UK Board as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Nick has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, including over 20 years at Standard Life and over 10 years at Vanguard Asset Management Europe, where he was a founding member of its management team. Nick’s multifunctional experience covers a range of key roles across both Pensions and Asset Management and at Board and Committee level. He replaces David Dalton Brown who steps down after nine years on the Aegon UK Board.

Nick will report to Christina McComb, OBE, Chair of the Aegon UK Board.

Christina McComb, OBE, Chair of the Aegon UK Board, comments:

“I am delighted to welcome Nick to the Board. His skills and experience, with a keen focus on customer experience, will provide a strong complement to the Board line up. My colleagues and I look forward to working with Nick as we support the business through transformation and growth, building on the ambitious three-year strategy announced in June.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank David for his exceptional contribution to the business. We wish him well for the future.”

Nick Blake comments:

“I am very much looking forward to working with Christina and the rest of the UK Board. This is a time of great opportunity and challenge both within the industry and for Aegon UK, and I am keen to use my industry knowledge and experience to help Aegon achieve the best outcomes for its customers.”
