What makes up your charges?

Total charge = Aegon charge + Fund charges

Your total charge is your Aegon charge plus your fund charges. Your Aegon charge can depend on which service area your workplace scheme is with and the type of scheme you have with Aegon. Your Aegon charge is unique to you and your scheme. Your fund charge is the charge you pay for each fund held. There may be different charges applied to each fund. You need to add the individual charges of all your funds to your Aegon charge to calculate your total charge.

Where do I find my charges?

You will receive an annual personal statement, where you can find the charges that apply to your plan. There are several different service areas within Aegon and how your charges are shown will look slightly different depending on which service area your plan or scheme is part of. Please click on your service area below to see an example of how the charges might look for your service area.

If you aren’t sure which plan service area your plan is part of you can use the support page to help you.

The list of funds available to invest in will be different depending on which service area your plan is part of. Some funds will be available in more than one service area but the fund charges for each fund are the same no matter which service area you are part of. The fund charges for each fund can be found within the table shown on our costs and charges page. Please click on your service area below to see which charges apply to you.

How do your charges compare to what others pay?

Your Aegon charge is set by Aegon as part of setting up your scheme. Each scheme is individually priced based on a number of factors:

  • How many members will be in the scheme
  • How long we expect members to save with Aegon
  • The average ongoing member contribution level
  • Whether members are likely to transfer in money from previous pension arrangement

The table below reflects the range of prices offered to employers based on the factors above. It’s important that you consider these factors when assessing whether your scheme is offering value. You can also find our full range of administration charges for each individual scheme in our charges document. More information about this can be found in Page 73 in Appendix 3 of the IGC Annual Report 2022.
