Saving Britain – A White Paper on Rebuilding Britain’s Saving Culture
In this White Paper, AEGON UK and the Association of Independent Financial Advisers have joined forces to bring fresh thinking to the debate. Both our organisations have track records of innovative research and thought leadership on complex and important issues. By working together, we combine the experience and understanding of one of Britain’s foremost providers of retirement and savings products with the insights of Britain’s independent financial advisers. Every day we see among our clients and customers the benefits of well planned family finances, and the consequences when planning and provision is lacking. We help people who are in debt and need to stabilise their position before they can start saving, people who are putting a little bit aside for emergencies, people paying into pension schemes at work, and experienced investors and entrepreneurs. Pensions Manifesto - The Pensions Crunch: proposals for change
With the countdown to the general election underway, AEGON is highlighting the importance of pensions as an election issue.

AEGON research reveals the changing face of retirement
AEGON research, released today, reveals a significant shift in the way 50 to 65 year-olds are viewing retirement, showing how role models such as Harrison Ford and Madonna are turning the ‘baby boomers’ into a generation of ‘grandad-olescents’.

The study shows retirement in the ‘noughties’ is becoming a second adolescence, and is more likely to include flexible working or a new career, than a carriage clock and a pair of slippers.
